Midfielder Youssouf Mulumbu has agreed a new two-year deal with West Brom.
The Congo international has been rewarded for his flying start to the new season with the contract which also includes the option of a third year.
Baggies manager Roberto Di Matteo said: "I'm pleased with how Youssouf has started the season and he is very much part of our plans.
"He's an exciting, young, holding midfielder who will hopefully keep improving."
Mulumbu only joined Albion this summer from Paris Saint-Germain for £175,000 having impressed during his loan spell in the second-half of the Baggies relegation campaign from the Premiership last season.
