Boaz Myhill has signed a new two-year contract with West Brom.
The goalkeeper has committed his future to the Baggies until 2017 with the 32-year-old set to start the season as the club's first choice.
He said: "It's great to get my future sorted out. It's never easy being a goalkeeper when you're not in the team but the Premier League is the place you want to be."
He added: "I enjoyed the final few months of the season and tried to do my best during that period.
"Pre-season has been tough but now we are beginning to focus on making sure we are ready for that opening game of the season."
Myhill is deputising for the injured Ben Foster after the England keeper suffered cruciate knee ligament damage in March.
The Wales international helped keep the club in the Barclays Premier League last season and has made 53 appearances for the Baggies since joining from Hull in 2010.
Head coach Tony Pulis said: "I'm delighted Boaz has signed his new deal.
"He had a smashing end to the season when he came into the side and has worked very hard throughout the summer."
Myhill is set to start the season as the club's number one despite Pulis hunting a new keeper.
The boss is interested in Crystal Palace's Wayne Hennessey, who worked under him at Selhurst Park, but the Baggies are yet to make an official move.
Meanwhile, Pulis wants to bring former Arsenal midfielder Abou Diaby to The Hawthorns after he was released by the Gunners.
The France international left the Emirates after an injury-plagued spell since joining from Auxerre in 2006.
Diaby made 182 appearances for the north London club, scoring 19 goals, but has played just twice in the last two seasons.
