Morrison relishing survival challenge

James Morrison believes West Brom have learnt the lessons of their last season of top-flight football ahead of Saturday's demanding opener at Barclays Premier League champions Chelsea. The midfielder is confident Albion's players will be driven on by the desire to avoid a repeat of the hurt felt when they were relegated at the end of the 2008-09 campaign. Morrison believes the Baggies will be harder to break down but also stressed the need to cut out conceding late goals which cost them dearly two seasons ago. The Scotland international said: "If you look at our track record in this league, it's not the best. As a group of players, we are looking to put that right. "There are a lot of players here who, with all due respect, don't want to be in the Championship again so we are eager to stay up. The good thing is I think we've learned from what happened two seasons ago. "We will be more solid - but we had other faults too. We don't want to keep conceding late goals like we did last time. We are looking forward to the challenge of staying up, trying to keep clean sheets and being solid."
