Miller learning from Onuoha's example
West Brom striker Ishmael Miller has taken inspiration from former Manchester City team-mate Nedum Onuoha in overcoming his two-year injury nightmare.
Miller watched Onuoha recover from a series of setbacks with City and is now making a key contribution on loan at Sunderland.
The Baggies marksman has been dogged by various problems since suffering a cruciate knee ligament injury in a challenge with the then Portsmouth keeper David James in November 2008.
But Miller hopes his problems are finally behind him, and he impressed as a substitute against Aston Villa a fortnight ago.
Miller said: "A lot of people have had bad injuries and got over them. You kind of find strength from how they've done it.
"I was at Man City with Nedum Onuoha and he had one bad injury after another. He went through what I've been going through. I used to think `how the hell did he get through that?' But he is playing now and doing great at Sunderland and things like that drive you on."
