Striker ends four-year spell Ishmael Miller has joined Championship outfit Nottingham Forest in a deal starting at £1.2 million. The former Manchester City striker had fallen down the Hawthorns pecking order following the arrival of Shane Long and the success of Peter Odemwingie. Miller, who failed to find the form which earned him a permanent deal from City, was loaned to QPR last season in an attempt to regain match fitness after two serious knee injuries. "Ishmael was instrumental in helping the club win the Championship title during his first season here but he unfortunately suffered a serious knee injury the following campaign when he was just beginning to show what he was capable of in the Barclays Premier League,” said Sporting and Technical Director Dan Ashworth. "Since recovering from that injury, he has struggled to get a decent run in the side because the team have been scoring goals and being successful. "This move is probably in the best interests of all parties because we can't guarantee Ishmael first-team football and this is a great opportunity for him to hopefully play regularly for one of the promotion favourites and be back in the Premier League in the near future. "I would like to thank Ishmael for his efforts during his time at the club and wish him well in his future career at Nottingham Forest." The 24-year-old scored 21 goals in 80 appearances, including 36 as a substitute. *Albion have signed Arsenal youngster Jamie Edge on a one-year deal following his release from Arsenal.
