St. Johnstone boss happy north of the border St. Johnstone boss Derek McInnes insists he’ll carry on as usual at McDiarmid Park after speculation linking him with the vacant Albion job. Certain bookmakers have made the former Albion skipper the favourite to replace Roberto Di Matteo. But McInnes has cooled any talk of a return to The Hawthorns insisting it’s business as usual. “I’m in a job at St Johnstone and trying to progress things here,” said McInnes. “Obviously I enjoyed my time as a player at Albion. “I had a great affection for the club and still do. I had a fantastic time there. “If I’m doing my job well then I might be linked with another job but I must stress I’m only doing the job in hand. “The chairman will be the first to inform me of anything. “I’ve been here before with speculation so I’m a wee bit sceptical.” Do you want Derek McInnes back at The Hawthorns?
