Striker rules out loan move

Marc-Antonie Fortune has no intention of leaving The Hawthorns in search of first team football.

The former Celtic striker has enjoyed only 13 minutes of league football this season after the arrival and form of Shane Long.

But Fortune insists he’s happy to wait in the wings for his opportunity with Albion rather than seek a move away from the Baggies

“I’m a West Brom player,” he insisted.

This year is a little bit hard for me because there are a lot of people in front of me.

“I’m just waiting for my time, I’m working hard and doing my best.

“I know if I’m given my chance I will be ready.

“With Shane being injured the manager will decide what to do but we will see.

“When you get back from an injury you want to show what you can do. Tuesday was about getting some confidence and scoring.

“My knee injury held me back. That was a month ago, I’m feeling good now.”
