West Brom utility player Gonzalo Jara has signed a new three-year contract. The 24-year-old, who played in all four of Chile's fixtures at the World Cup, has committed himself to the Baggies to the summer of 2013. The deal also contains a further 12-month option in the club's favour. Jara has been a big success since arriving from Colo Colo in a bargain £1.4million transfer a year ago. Albion coach Roberto Di Matteo said: "Gonzo fully deserves this new contract. He has proved an excellent acquisition and played a big part in our promotion success last season before his unfortunate injury. "He is a total professional, has a terrific attitude and his versatility is a real asset to the squad."
