It`s just another game - Shorey

Nicky Shorey is thinking only about West Brom's bid to confirm their place in the Barclays Premier League ahead of this weekend's trip to his former club Aston Villa.

Shorey will meet his former employers for the first time since making the short trip across Birmingham last summer, but is focused only on extending the Baggies' six-point gap above the drop zone.

"The fact it's my former club isn't important," the 30-year-old told the Birmingham Mail.

"I have some good friends at Villa but the opposition doesn't matter. It's another game for us to secure safety. "They have some top-quality players. It's another tough game for us at home, it means no more to me from that point of view.

"Saturday is another game for us to get nearer to safety. We have four left. It's in our hands."
