Foster praise for Hodgson

West Brom goalkeeper Ben Foster believes Roy Hodgson's way of working will be of great benefit to England as they step up their preparations for Euro 2012.

Hodgson rebuilt the Baggies defence last summer bringing in Gareth McAuley and Billy Jones on free transfers, with Liam Ridgewell joining the club in January. The trio formed part of a revamped backline, with Jonas Olsson the only surviving member, after Steven Reid's season was cut short by injury in March.

"You can only make wholesale changes if you are organised and Roy is always organised," Foster told the club's official website, www.wba.co.uk. "England will benefit from that greatly, as everybody in the team knows their job."

He added: "Your role is black and white and you know exactly what you need to do.

"At every moment in every game, every player knows what they should or should not be doing depending on what has happened somewhere else on the pitch."
