Odemwingie and Allan left out of touring party

Peter Odemwingie today took a step closer to his prolonged Albion exit after he was left out of the Baggies’ pre-season squad to Austria.

Steve Clarke has selected a 25-man touring party including a mixture of senior and young pros.

However, there was no room for want-away Odemwingie or midfielder Scott Allan.

The pair were omitted by Steve Clarke this morning and both now have question marks over their futures.

New signing Nicolas Anelka was included in the party, along with youngsters Donervorn Daniels, Cameron Gayle, Liam O’Neil, Kemar Roofe, Adil Nabi and Saido Berahino.

The Baggies will face Hannover 96 on Thursday before playing Puskas FC Academy a week today as part of the eight-day trip.

Albion began their pre-season preparations on Saturday during a 4-0 victory against Tamworth FC in a training match. James Morrison, Shane Long, Markus Rosenberg and Saido Berahino all scored.
