Di Matteo hoping for additional loan signing

Boss keeping tabs on several players Roberto Di Matteo has revealed he hopes to bring in another new face on loan to help boost his depleted squad.  The Baggies have already played a gruelling nine games so far this year and travel to Reading on Saturday (KO 3pm) for the FA Cup fifth round.  With injuries, fatigue and suspension taking its toll on Albion’s squad, Di Matteo was forced into naming 17-year-old George Thorne on Albion’s sub’s bench against Scunthorpe United last night.  “You could see from the bench that we're a little short,” the Italian claimed. “We are looking to get one more player to help us out until we get our own players out. “We have injuries and a suspension so we are a little short at the moment.” The Baggies head coach refused to be drawn on any targets however it’s believed former winger Jason Koumas is one of several names being considered.  The out of favour Wigan man left The Hawthorns for the Latics back in 2007 in a £5.3 million switch.  Albion are expected to wait until next week until making any new signings with temporary signings permitted for a maximum 93 days.  Waiting until then would cover the Championship play-off final on May 22nd.
