Di Matteo hopes to shake off 'yo-yo' tag

Boss looking to build new identity after Arsenal win Baggies boss Roberto Di Matteo hopes Albion’s impressive start is the beginning of a new identity for the club. After a series of relegations and promotions the Baggies have been dubbed a ‘yo-yo’ club by certain quarters. But after wins over the likes of Sunderland and Birmingham, plus Saturday’s tremendous victory against Arsenal, the Baggies boss hopes to shake off the unwanted tag the club has earned in recent years. “Every club has pressure - just different sorts of pressure,” said the Italian. “Our pressure is to change the reputation of the club, to stop us being labelled a yo-yo team. “We got promoted last year which was a hell of an achievement as a club. “And the fact this win was away to Arsenal means it ranks highly up there. “But I wouldn't change the results we got against Sunderland or Birmingham, because they were good wins too. “We are trying to change the reputation of the club. “That's our aim and if we can do that then we've achieved what we want to. “We're always happy after wins and we enjoyed the moment on Saturday.”
