Deadline Day at The Hawthorns
Cech goes to Turkey; defender expected Marek Cech’s Albion career looks all but over after he travelled for talks and a medical with Turkish top flight side Trabzonspor. Talks between the two clubs were on-going today to agree a fee for the left back Slovenian international. Cech said a few days ago his days at The Hawthorns were numbered, despite having his contract extended at the end of last season. The Baggies are now expected to try and sign another versatile defender before the deadline closes at 11pm with Liam Ridgewell and Nedum Onuoha both on the radar. But a deal for Owen Hargreaves looks highly unlikely after the former England international underwent a medical at Manchester City ahead of a surprise switch to the Citizens.
