West Brom have completed the £1.9million capture of Swindon striker Simon Cox. The 22-year-old, who scored 32 goals for the Robins last season, becomes Roberto Di Matteo's first signing since he took over from Tony Mowbray last week. Having successfully passed his medical and agreed personal terms, Cox has signed a two-year deal at The Hawthorns with the option of a further two years in the club's favour. Swindon will receive £1.5million from the sale of their prized asset, while the remaining £400,000 is tied up in performance-related add-ons. The Reading-born marksman could make his debut in the Baggies' first pre-season friendly against non-League Histon this Saturday, although he will definitely be part of the club's squad for next week's tour of Slovenia.
