Captain pens new deal

Brunt signs improved contract Chris Brunt has signed new deal at The Hawthorns committing his future to the club until 2015. The 26-year-old has penned a three-year contract, plus a year in the club’s favour, after he was rewarded for his impressive performances last term. Brunt, who took over the captain’s responsibilities last season, scored four goals from midfield last season and played a key part in helping Albion finish 11th. Baggies boss Roy Hodgson revealed his delight at another of Albion’s established Premier League stars committing their future to the club. "I'm pleased Chris has been rewarded with this extension on improved terms. It is fully deserved.
