Call-up good for Carson - Hodgson

Goalkeeper Scott Carson's recall into the England squad will give him a confidence boost ahead of the West Brom's run-in, according to manager Roy Hodgson. Carson did not feature in either England game, but Hodgson told the club's official website that being selected in enough to be happy with. "I'm sure it's good for his confidence," he said. "Whether you're actually in the team or just in the squad, being selected for England is a big occasion so I'm sure he's delighted with that. "We're happy to wish him well on his journey and it's always nice when you get call-ups for your players, especially for important matches."
