Brunt's better than ever

Midfielder pleased with progress this term Northern Ireland international Chris Brunt believes he’s a better player after his season in the Championship starring in a number of positions.  Despite being naturally left-footed, Brunt switched to the right wing towards the end of Albion’s last season in Premier League – a move which bore a return of eight goals. The former Sheffield Wednesday man has again topped Albion’s league scoring charts with Graham Dorrans after finding the net an impressive 13 times this season.  Brunt has been deployed in his preferred left-side midfield berth this season but has also featured on the right and in the middle to cover suspension and injuries. “I think playing on both sides has made me a better player," said Brunty. "It adds another dimension to my game. "I'm not just an out-and-out left-sided player like I was when I first came here from Sheffield Wednesday. "I've now got the confidence to play down the right or even in the middle, like I have at times this season. "I think I'm definitely a better player for it. "I've had a lot more responsibility this season than I did the last time in the Championship. "I think the season in the Premier League improved me and I'm delighted with the way this season has gone."
