West Brom midfielder Chris Brunt has penned a new and improved three-year contract with the club, with the option of an extra 12 months in Albion`s favour. The Northern Ireland international arrived at The Hawthorns from Sheffield Wednesday in August 2007, signing a four-deal deal for £3million. His form since joining has been impressive - scoring the goals which helped seal the Championship title in 2007/08, finishing as the club`s top goalscorer and player of the year in 2008/09 and starting this term on top of his game. The 24-year-old said: "It's nice to be rewarded for the progress I've made here and I'm delighted to have signed a new contract. I've enjoyed my time here. It's been great for my career and I feel it's been relatively successful. "The fans have made me feel really welcome from day one and I'm looking forward to making further progress this season and hopefully getting back up. We've made a good start and I'm really enjoying working under the new coaching staff." Head coach Roberto Di Matteo added: "It's always a big bonus when one of your core players commits his future to the club. Chris is a talented player who is definitely part of our long-term plans."
