Boss praises players' resilience

Italian satisfied with point Roberto Di Matteo again hailed his comeback kings after Albion fought back from a goal down to maintain their unbeaten home record. James Morrison’s 78th minute header was enough to hear the hosts a share of the points after Johan Elmander had given Bolton the lead just after the hour mark. The Baggies boss was forced into a change to the starting XI which beat Arsenal the week before with Jerome Thomas picking up a leg injury and Graham Dorrans taking his place. Gabriel Tamas also returned to Albion’s defence in place of Pablo Ibanez. After an even first-half, Bolton drew first blood after Elmander fired past Scott Carson. The goal brought the Baggies to life and Peter Odemwingie missed a glorious chance before crossing for Morrison to head home from six yards. The fight-back saw Albion maintain their impressive start to the season and stretch the unbeaten home record back to the start of January. "Overall, I'm happy with a point,” Di Matteo said after the final whistle. "I think a lot of credit goes to Bolton because they played very well. "They make it very difficult for the opposition to break them down. "They're organised and very physical. "We weren't at our best today so it's pleasing we still got a point out of the game. "The second half was a great football game. "Both teams wanted to win, there were chances, both sets of players were very committed and both keepers had to make good saves. "We came from 1-0 down and could have won it at the end. "I don't think we deserved to win, to be honest, because Bolton had chances to win themselves. "The statistics say the team that scores the first goal usually goes on to win the game the majority of the time. "But we're kind of defying that statistic. "It's not the first time we've had to come back from 1-0 down this season."
