Owen Coyle believes Bolton stand a great chance of finishing in the top six after their Boxing Day win over West Bromwich.[LNB] The Wanderers boss reckons the 2-0 victory provides plenty of encouragement for the rest of the season because his team underperformed at the Reebok.[LNB]Bolton have been one of the success stories of the season in the Barclays Premier League and head into Wednesday's clash with reigning champions Chelsea in the top six.[LNB] Matt finish: Taylor celebrates scoring Bolton's opener in the win at the Reebok[LNB]But far from seeing the below-par performance against the Baggies as a negative, the Coyle was delighted that his side managed to take the opportunities that came their way with Matt Taylor and Johan Elmander both finding the back of the net.[LNB]He said: 'It bodes well for the rest of the season. I was disappointed not to get anything from Sunderland last week because we probably played better than we showed here but we look a goal threat every time we get on the park.[LNB]'We didn't pass the ball well enough to get into the final third as much as I would have liked but, on the occasions we did, we looked a very good team capable of scoring goals.'[LNB] Fiesty: Bolton's Johan Elmander tussles with West Bromwich's Paul Scharner[LNB]Coyle is aware that a repeat performance at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday would almost certainly result in a completely different outcome, and the Trotters' cause has not been helped by their ever declining options.[LNB]The former Burnley manager is unsure if he will even be able to name a full substitutes' bench, with Lee Chung-yong heading off to represent South Korea at the Asian Cup and Gretar Steinsson picking up a knee injury.[LNB]Coyle said: 'We might not have the 18 we need to fill the team sheet but whatever we've got we'll go there in good spirits, we'll go there and be positive and we'll look to try and win the game against the champions and a quality side.'[LNB] Bolton 2 West Bromwich 0: Matt Taylor and Johan Elmander punish wasteful BaggiesFulham boss Mark Hughes tempted by a move for Bolton's Matt Taylor BOLTON FC
