Bednar eager to prove his worth
West Brom striker Roman Bednar is adamant he has now cleared his head and has a point to prove to boss Roberto di Matteo.
Bednar found himself shipped out on loan to Leicester at the end of November after a bitterly frustrating time for the Baggies, making just six appearances in the first three months of the season.
But after his five-match spell away with the npower Championship club, the Czech international is champing at the bit to help Albion in their battle to beat the drop.
"I was pretty unhappy - and everyone saw that - before I left for the loan at Leicester, but I just put my head straight," Bednar told the club's official website.
"I had a good time at Leicester. They have some good players and a good gaffer, but I still feel like my place is here. Maybe I needed to go to Leicester to realise what I wanted.
"I really wasn't handling well the fact I wasn't playing, but I'm here now and ready to work really hard - I'm pleased."
