Baggies will bounce back - Carson

Scott Carson expects West Brom to return to the kind of performances which have been the trademark for most of the season at West Ham. The Baggies have been in the top six of the Barclays Premier League in recent weeks but back to back defeats against Blackpool and Manchester City have seen them drop down to 10th. Skipper Carson believes Albion showed City too much respect during the opening 45 minutes of their 2-0 home defeat. He said: "We have been getting into players' faces during games, stopping them playing, and making it difficult for them. Against City, we seemed to stand back a bit too much in the first half and maybe showed them too much respect. "It was something we haven't been doing. We sat off them and invited pressure. We lacked a bit of energy in pressing and closing them down. We kept going and should have played how we did in the second half in the first half. "We have had a good start to the season but Sunday showed we have to be at 100% at all times at this level. Now we have to bounce back."
