West Brom are set to offer a new contract to leading scorer Peter Odemwingie. Odemwingie has scored 14 goals during his first season in the Barclays Premier League and played a major part in them securing top-flight status. The Barclays player of the month for April has one year remaining of his current deal plus a 12-month option. Manager Roy Hodgson said: "I'm pretty sure the club would be prepared to discuss an extension of Peter's contract. It would surprise me if they aren't. If that happens, it would be deserved. "The chairman (Jermey Peace) works here in a sensible way. He rewards success and he rewards people for doing a bit extra."
