Baggies land Thomas

West Brom have agreed personal terms with winger Jerome Thomas, making him the club`s fifth signing of the summer. The 26-year-old, who also had trials with Wolves and Hull, arrives at The Hawthorns as a free agent following his release from Portsmouth in June. He signed for Pompey at the start of last season after a short loan spell at Fratton Park but only made three substitute appearances during his time at the club, a period not helped by a back injury. But it was at Charlton where he rose to prominence, making over 100 league appearances - mostly in the Premier League - between 2004 and 2008. He follows the arrivals of Simon Cox, Reuben Reid, Youssouf Mulumbu and Joe Mattock.
