Scott Carson has warned West Brom to be on their guard against an on-song Andy Carroll during Saturday's clash with Liverpool after the striker this week netted his first England goal. [LNB]The Baggies goalkeeper was on the England substitutes' bench at Wembley on Tuesday night when Carroll found the net with a low drive in the 1-1 draw with Ghana. [LNB] On target: Carroll scored in England's 1-1 draw with Ghana at Wembley [LNB]Now the Baggies will have to contain Kenny Dalglish's ?35million capture at the Hawthorns. [LNB]Carson said: 'Andy Carroll scored a great goal for England on Tuesday night, so he'll be full of confidence and it's going to be a difficult game, no question about it. [LNB]Back in the frame: Carson warmed the bench on Tuesday [LNB]'Maybe the goal for Andy came at the wrong time from our point of view did but everyone knows he's a handful and everyone knows his strengths. [LNB]'We've got to prepare for them and hopefully we can keep our own form going.[LNB]'Everyone thinks he's a big target man really but I think he showed against Ghana on Tuesday, in the way he came short for the ball and was laying off short balls, that he's got great feet. [LNB]'He showed his game is not all about people hanging the ball up to him to go and attack headers. 'He's a top player so we're going to have to be on our guard.' [LNB]Carson is full of respect for the Reds but has urged Albion to maintain their recent form. [LNB]He said: 'Liverpool are a massive club and they will probably have all their top players back fit again. "But we got a point against Arsenal and we're on a decent run. [LNB]'If we can carry on our form from before the international break, then we've got to be in with a chance.'[LNB] Lay off Roy!
