Argentinean international striker Franco Di Santo will not be joining the Baggies after the club decided against offering the free agent a contract.
Talks were arranged between Albion officials and the former Wigan Athletic and Chelsea striker after his release from The Latics.
But club officials decided against a deal for the front man and have now turned their attentions to other targets.
Di Santo is now expected to join fellow Premier League outfit Swansea City.
