Preston reject undisclosed offer Albion have had an undisclosed offer for Preston North End goalkeeper Andy Lonergan rejected.  The official bid was turned down by the Lilywhites at the start of the week as Roberto Di Matteo looks for an understudy to club captain Scott Carson.   The 26-year-old Preston born stopper is believed to be valued in the region of £2 million by PNE – although the cash strapped Lancashire outfit could accept a tempting lower bid.  Lonergan, who made his full league debut against the Baggies, made 50 appearances last term in all competitions and stared when Preston held Albion to a 0-0 draw in early October at Deepdale.
