Baggies reportedly after Di Santo and Sako

Wigan’s Franco Di Santo and Wolves winger Bakary Sako have emerged as potential summer targets for Albion.

Reports in the national press claim Albion have offered Argentinean international Di Santo a two-year contract after his deal at Wigan expires at the end of season. Meanwhile one local paper claim the Baggies are preparing a £3m swoop for Sako.

Both players suffered relegations with their respective clubs this season and are expected to move on.

Albion face competition from Fulham for the signing of 26-year-old Sako. While Napoli and Bologna are both reportedly interested in signing the former Chelsea man Di Santo.

The Baggies are searching for new attacking options with Jerome Thomas, Marc-Antonie Fortune and Zoltan Gera out of contract at the end of the season. Steve Clarke has already said that want-away striker Peter Odemwingie will be sold and Romelu Lukaku will return to Chelsea after his impressive loan spell. Question marks also exist over the future of misfiring Markus Rosenberg.
