Peace looking to increase shareholding

Baggies chairman Jeremy Peace has written to every shareholder with the intention of increasing his stake in the club to around 65%.

Peace currently owns around 60% of West Bromwich Albion Group Limited and hopes to purchase a further 500 ordinary shares.

The tender offer is between £1,200 and £1,500 for each share with priority given to shares tendered at the lowest price within the price range and could cost the chairman up to £750,000.

"I have made the tender offer to all shareholders with a view to taking my shareholding in West Bromwich Albion Group Limited to approximately 65 per cent.

"I have written to all shareholders with a full explanation about the offer, which is not compulsory. It is entirely down to the discretion of each shareholder whether they wish to sell or not."

Should've Peace used the money to strenghten Albion's first team squad instead of his own position? Have your say at Baggies Banter.
