Albion bag Watson

Midfielder arrives on loan Wigan Athletic midfielder Ben Watson has signed on loan until the end of the season.  The former Crystal Palace man arrives at The Hawthorns to give Roberto Di Matteo a welcome selection boost. The 24-year-old former England Under-21 international has already played at The Hawthorns this season featuring for QPR back in December.  Watson, who is cup-tied for Wednesday’s FA Cup replay against Reading, is expected to go straight into the squad to face Derby County on Saturday. "Having lost Gonzalo Jara for the remainder of the season to injury, we have been looking to strengthen the central midfield area and we are very pleased that Ben has joined us," said Roberto Di Matteo. "Ben is very good technically and is a competitive player who knows the Championship very well. "He has played many times at this level and knows what is required, which should help him to hit the ground running."
