Albion await Vaughan decision

Midfielder expected to choose between Sunderland and Albion Albion are expecting David Vaughan to decide this week if he’ll sign on a free transfer from Blackpool. Both the Baggies and Sunderland have offered a contract to the Wales international after he decided not to extend his stay at Bloomfield Road. The Black Cats are believed to have offered a more financially attractive package to the 28-year-old; however, Vaughan may be swayed to opt for a move to the Midlands, where his wife’s family resides. Vaughan admitted it was difficult to leave Blackpool after three years at the club, but hopes to continue his career in the Premier League. “The last couple of years have been brilliant and I leave with nothing but good memories,” he said. "If it wasn't for Blackpool I may never have played in the Premier League, so I have a lot to thank the club and the manager for. He has changed things around and I'll always look back on my time with fond memories. "It's a tough decision to move because my family are settled in the area, but hopefully things will work out well wherever we end up." Will David Vaughan choose Albion over Sunderland?
