Football.co.uk's countdown continues with an international striker who featured for New Zealand at the World Cup.

Name: Chris Wood

Born: 7 December 1991 (Age 18)

International Honours: New Zealand (14 caps, 1 goal)

New Zealander Wood signed a two-year deal with West Bromwich Albion in 2009, and made such an impression in his first few months at the club he was offered an extended contract last December.

The striker scored his first senior goal for the club in a 3-1 Championship victory against Doncaster Rovers - a 25-yard screamer that had manager Roberto Di Matteo purring.

At the start of this season he was sent out on loan to Barnsley.

On the international stage Wood rose through the youth ranks to make his All Whites debut against Tanzania in June 2009.

He was part of the New Zealand squad at the 2010 World Cup, and appeared as a substitute in their group matches against Slovakia, Italy and Paraguay.

The muscular forward became just the fifth New Zealander to play in the Premier League when he featured for West Brom against Portsmouth in April 2009, and has been tipped for big things.
