Sevilla show Ozil interest

La Liga outfit Sevilla have been linked with a move to sign Werder Bremen's rising star Mesut Ozil.

The 21-year-old midfield playmaker is under contract with his Bundesliga club until the summer of 2011, but he has attracted interest after breaking into the national team set-up in Germany in recent months.

Ozil's agent, Reza Fazeli, told Kreiszeitung: "I have heard about interest from Arsenal and Sevilla in Mesut, but I clearly do not want to make any further comment on these rumours."

Ozil started his professional career with Schalke before heading to Bremen in January 2008, helping his new club reach the UEFA Cup final last season, where they lost out 2-1 to Shakhtar Donetsk.
