Klasnic signals Bremen exit

Werder Bremen's Croatia striker Ivan Klasnic has confirmed that he will leave the German club this summer.
The 28-year-old is currently suing the club's doctor over the treatment of his serious kidney complaint and Klasnic believes it would be better for all concerned if he moved on.
He told the German press: "Staying at Bremen would have meant that I would have still been treated by the doctor who is being sued by my lawyer for what I consider to be a case of gross mistreatment."
Bremen sporting director Klaus Allofs added: "We had hoped for another result as Ivan is a great striker who has shown his class following his kidney operation.
"However, we accept his decision to look for a new challenge after seven successful years with us and we wish him well for his future."
Klasnic had been with Bremen since the summer of 2001, having started his career with St Pauli.
He was part of the Croatia squad for Euro 2004 and the World Cup finals two years later, while he is also a member of the squad for this summer's action in Austria and Switzerland.
