09 February 2010 16:56
Watford are hoping midfielder Tom Cleverley will be fit for the visit of Bristol City. The on-loan Manchester United midfielder missed Saturday's 1-0 defeat at Barnsley with a knee injury and faces a late fitness test.Jon Harley deputised at Oakwell and could keep his place if Cleverley is ruled out again, although recent signing Stephen McGinn is also pushing to be involved.Another January recruit, winger Will Buckley, will be included if he shakes off a thigh strain in time.Arsenal loanee Henri Lansbury recovered from a stomach bug to face Barnsley and will keep his place.Striker Danny Graham is pressing to start, having been restricted to substitute appearances in the last three games.Meanwhile, Bristol City are expected to be without top scorer Nicky Maynard and winger Jamal Campbell-Ryce for the clash.Striker Maynard suffered a dead leg during Saturday's 1-1 draw with Coventry and is rated as doubtful to face the Hornets.Danny Haynes and David Clarkson will be vying to replace the former Crewe man if he misses out, with Clarkson staking his claim by coming off the bench to equalise against the Sky Blues.Campbell-Ryce, a recent signing from Barnsley, injured his calf during the warm-up on Saturday and is expected to miss out, but Cole Skuse could return after recovering from a stomach muscle strain.Robins boss Gary Johnson could recall midfielder Ivan Sproule as his side look to improve on a poor run of just one win in their last 10 games.Sporting Life
