Hornets hit by injuries

Watford have been hit by a spate of injuries ahead of the home game against lowly Blackpool.

Sean Murray is out after undergoing surgery on his knee earlier this week and fellow midfielder Almen Abdi faces three to four weeks on the sidelines with a hamstring injury.

Defenders Joel Ekstrand (back) and Gabriel Tamas (knee) are still missing along with striker Fernando Forestieri (hamstring).

Midfielder Gianni Munari suffered a hamstring injury during last weekend's 5-0 win over Charlton and will be assessed ahead of kick-off.

Blackpool will be without defender Grant Hall.

The Tottenham loanee tore ankle ligaments in the 2-0 loss to Wolves last weekend in just his second appearance for the Seasiders and now faces up to a month on the sidelines.

Boss Lee Clark confirmed that striker Ishmael Miller will be available, though, following his hamstring ailment.

Defender Gary MacKenzie (knee) and midfielder Jose Miguel Cubero (ankle) need match practice before they can be considered ready for first-team returns.
