Championship promotion chasers Watford were left fuming after being controversially denied a second goal in their 1-1 draw against Brighton on Monday.
Gianfranco Zola's team were leading through Sean Murray's early strike at the Amex Stadium and it seemed they had increased their advantage just after the interval.
Brighton captain Gordon Greer miscontrolled Fernando Forestieri's shot and sent the ball rolling towards his own goal before eventually hacking it clear from behind the line.
Forestieri claimed the ball had crossed the line and television replays showed he was right but, to Watford's fury, referee Keith Hill and his officials ruled the 'goal' wouldn't be allowed.
And, to add insult to injury, moments later Andrew Crofts equalised as Watford, last season's beaten play-off finalists, missed the chance to climb up to fourth in the Championship.
Watford had taken the lead after only four minutes when Murray took aim from 25 yards and saw his shot deflect in off Seagulls defender Stephen Ward.
Forestieri's disallowed goal came early in the second half and Watford were distraught again in the 53rd minute when a half-cleared corner fell to Crofts, who swivelled to crash his shot past Manuel Almunia.
