Watford 2 Preston 0: Malky Mackay delighted to see Hornets bounce back

Watford manager Malky Mackay expressed his delight after he saw his side bounce back from last weeks 5-0 drubbing at West Brom with this comfortable win.[LNB]Delight: Mackay[LNB]'I was very pleased with the performance after last week's loss,' he said. 'We were up against a very experienced Preston team so to get a clean sheet, play as well as we did and create so many chances was very pleasing.'[LNB]Watford took the lead in the ninth minute when Heidar Helguson headed home Don Cowie's cross and it was doubled just before the break when their two on-loan starts; Manchester United's Tom Cleverley and Arsenals Henri Lansbury teamed up - the latter setting up the former to fire home.[LNB]Tom Parkin and Paul Parry both went close for the visitors but the home side spurned chances to record a more emphatic win.[LNB]Preston manager Alan Irvine said: 'We were very poor all over the pitch. The second half was better but it would have been very difficult to have been any worse.
