Seagulls close in on Bangura
The 21-year-old would be the Seagulls' third loan signing of the week following the arrival of Matt Heath, from Colchester, and Cheltenham striker Lloyd Owusu.
Brighton's caretaker manager Dean White told the club's official website: "Al is someone we have been aware of for some time.
"He is a lively, energetic and tenacious midfielder. He was a major player for Aidy Boothroyd, but has found opportunites limited since Brendan Rodgers' arrival."
Bangura faced deportation back to Sierra Leone in November 2007 on a legal technicality and the case made national headlines.
