Rodgers said: "Don is an experienced player, he is 25 years of age and he has been playing regularly and I will look to him to come in and make an impact.
"Having said that, there is adjustment for him - he has come in towards the end of a season and he has adjustment to make in every aspect.
"What he is is the type of player that I like, in terms of his energy and he's an ultra professional. He lives his life to be a footballer and his family is important. He is a player that plays football with his brain and he's going to do very, very well.
"I'm looking forward to working with him and Aleksandrs Cauna also."
