Rangers v Hornets. Match preview

15 February 2010 22:35
QPR will be without Marcus Bent and Mikele Leigertwood for the visit of Watford. Striker Bent is still sidelined with the hamstring injury which kept him out of Saturday's defeat at Coventry and midfielder Leigertwood serves the final game of his three-match-ban. Midfield duo Martin Rowlands and Gavin Mahon remain the only other absentees with long-term knee injuries. Boss Mick Harford must decide whether to recall Tottenham loanee Adel Taarabt, having used him from the bench in the last few games, as he attempts to arrest their slide down the table. Tamas Priskin is likely to start in attack against his former club, although young striker Antonio German is pushing for his full debut having made four substitute appearances since the turn of the year. Watford will be without Heidar Helguson when they make the short trip to west London. The Iceland striker is ineligible for the clash due to the terms of his season-long loan deal from Rangers. Danny Graham could therefore play as a lone frontman, which would mean a recall for Ross Jenkins in midfield, although Liam Henderson provides another option in attack. On-loan Manchester United midfielder Tom Cleverley needs a late fitness test on the knee injury which has kept him out of the last two matches. January signing Will Buckley could be included in the squad for the first time if he shakes off a thigh injury. The Hornets are looking for their first win on the road since October. Sporting Life
