The 37-year-old was due to become a free agent at the end of next month but has reached an agreement to depart Vicarage Road ahead of schedule. In total, the Estonian made 19 appearances for the club after arriving from Arsenal in the summer of 2007, but the last of them came in September when he suffered a dislocated shoulder against Reading. Poom told the club's official website: "I'm sorry I couldn't have played more games for Watford due to injury but I certainly enjoyed the matches that I did play in. "I am very grateful to all the medical staff at the club who have worked incredibly hard getting me back to fitness. Goalkeeping coach Alec Chamberlain added: "Mart's professionalism and dedication is second to none. Whatever he chooses to do next, everyone at the club certainly wishes him all the very best for the future."
