Pair extend Hornets deals

Watford defender Adrian Mariappa and goalkeeper Richard Lee have both agreed new contracts with the Vicarage Road club.

Twenty-two-year-old Mariappa has agreed a new two-year deal with the Hornets, with boss Brendan Rodgers expecting good things from the youngster.

He told the club's official website: "Adrian is someone I think who will grow over the next few years because of how we want to play.

"You'll start to see things in him that you may not have seen before. I've enjoyed working with him because he's a learner."

Meanwhile, Lee has agreed a new 12-month deal to remain with the Championship outfit.
