Moses moves to Watford

Watford have made their first signing of the transfer window by snapping up former England youth international striker Moses Ashikodi.

The 19-year-old has been capped at under-15, under-16, under-17, under-18 and under-19 level for the national side and has signed for the Hornets from Rangers after impressing Hornets boss Aidy Boothroyd during a trial spell.

Ashikodi started his career at Millwall and also spent time at West Ham before moving north of the border 12 months ago.

He made one appearances for the SPL club in an Old Firm clash with Celtic last April.

Ashikodi has signed a two-and-a-half year deal with the Hornets and will be available for selection for Saturday's FA Cup third round meeting with Stockport County.
