McGinn ready to push on
Watford midfielder Stephen McGinn is confident he will reap the benefits of a tough pre-season when the new npower Championship campaign kicks off next month.
The 21-year-old joined the club from St Mirren in the January transfer window and is looking to impress in his first full season with the Hornets.
He told the club's official website: "Pre-season at Watford is more work and football-related compared to what we used to do in Scotland. It's been quite hard and demanding but I'm enjoying it.
"The elements are essentially the same though - the running tests and fitness sessions - but we got working with the footballs a lot quicker here than at St Mirren.
"But it's great to have something different to what I was always used to year on year in the past."
