Mariappa pens Hornets deal

Watford right-back Adrian Mariappa has put pen to paper on a new two-year contract with the Hornets.
The 20-year-old has been a regular in the Watford first-team since the turn of the year and has been rewarded with an extended deal at Vicarage Road.
He told the club's official website: "I am very excited to sign for another two years and I'm looking forward to next season, getting out there and playing.
"Signing a two-year deal is great, but just because I've got that it doesn't mean I'm going to play, there are a lot good players here and I've got to fight to get into the team.
"Aidy Boothroyd is the one who's had the faith in me, he didn't have to put me in the team, but he's stuck with me and given me the opportunity of another two years."
Mariappa has made 29 appearances for Watford in total and has yet to open his goalscoring account for the club.
