MacKay happy to land Severin

New Watford manager Malky MacKay thinks the capture of Aberdeen midfielder Scott Severin on a free transfer could be a key signing.
The 30-year-old Scotland international has penned a two-year contract with the Hornets after spending the last five seasons at Pittodrie.
Mackay told Watford's official website: "I've kept an eye on Scottish football and Scott's progress.
"He's had five terrific years at Aberdeen and is very well respected.
"Scott was Aberdeen's captain and that speaks volumes for his character and leadership qualities."
