Mackay undecided over Beauvue
The 21-year-old Frenchman figured in Watford's 3-0 friendly win at Wealdstone on Saturday at the end of a five-day trial from Ligue 2 side FC Troyes.
"At the moment he is going back to France but we'll see. We'll talk to both his agent and his club, in terms of ideally you want longer to look at him," said Mackay.
"We only got him for five days which is not a long time to have a look at somebody so it's like everything with trialists, you have got to be careful in terms of how long you have got them for and how you treat them in terms of their own club is concerned.
"So we'll have ongoing talks in the next few days to see what we do there."
