Mackay set for transfer activity

Mackay is still looking to add to his squad, while defender Mike Williamson could be on his way having missed Saturday's draw at Swansea following his decision to ask for a transfer. "Mike trained on Thursday and then handed in a transfer request. He came in on Friday and declared himself unable to travel to Wales," said Mackay. "The Tommy Smith transfer showed anything can occur, so I honestly can't say what will happen. We're trying to get people in, a lot of hard work is being put in by our recruitment department behind the scenes. "We're in a market with a lot of other clubs and like everyone we have budgets - we will certainly be trying hard to bring in as many quality players into the club as we can and they've got to be better than what is already here."
